Encinitas has some excellent, and I mean excellent places to eat. For breakfast favorites include Pipe’s Cafe (a local hotspot known for its large portions and great prices) and the Potato Shack. Also great for breakfast and lunch is the St. Tropez french bakery. The Beach House is another great spot for lunch in Cardiff By-The-Sea, with an excellent outdoor, on the ocean, atmosphere. Looking for a great quick bite, hit Juanita’s Taco Shop on PCH and try a California Burrito. Leucadia Pizza Kitchen is great for lunch and has great lunch specials during weekdays.

Encinitas has a plethora of great Italian restaurants, and it’s hard to choose a favorite. Via Italia, Ciccioti’s, When in Rome, Aqua Trattatori are all outstanding.
